 "The Rouffach Hospital continues its commitment to the ecological transition by planting miscanthus for its future biomass heating project.
Recently, a new plot was established in Rouffach, in the immediate vicinity of the town’s and the hospital’s water catchment areas. This low-pollution crop helps preserve water resources while producing local, sustainable biomass.
This planting is part of a partnership initiative: a local farmer is committed to this crop alongside the hospital.
By 2026, a total of 23 hectares of miscanthus will have been planted, divided between the Rouffach Hospital’s farm and five local partner farmers.
A concrete initiative serving the environment, the region, and energy self-sufficiency.”

The excellent collaboration between Novabiom, Mathieu Bintz, head of cultivation at Rouffach Hospital, and the local agricultural training center MB prest’agri ensured that the projects ran smoothly under ideal planting conditions.
And in 2027, we’ll see you for the final phase of planting to supply the biomass boiler.
