Novabiom
Novabiom, the miscanthus specialist.
Since 2006, Novabiom has been dedicated to developing the cultivation and utilization of miscanthus in France and Europe. The company comprises 25 partners, most of whom are farmers, all of whom are committed to a sustainable and meaningful project. Since 2026, our membership has grown from 25 to 40, as employees have become shareholders. As a mission-driven company, Novabiom’s purpose is to “create high-quality, eco-friendly miscanthus solutions rooted in local communities, in partnership with farmers.”
Novabiom and its team of 17 employees are at your service:
Farmers, both men and women,
- for the supply of Miscanthus giganteus rhizomes and the establishment of their cultivation
- for the valorization of their miscanthus: self-consumption, diversification and direct sales, or Novabiom purchase agreement
Users, for their supply of raw or processed miscanthus products.
Manufacturers for the establishment of their local supply chain.
Local authorities, to support their project to establish local supply chains with the planting of miscanthus to protect water resources and fuel collective miscanthus-fired heating systems.
Novabiom has planted more than 9,000 hectares in France and Europe and has produced more than 180 million rhizomes since 2006.
At its "La Fabrique" site in Eure-et-Loir, Novabiom develops its tools for the initial processing of miscanthus: calibration and dust removal, bales, megabales, etc.

A significant investment in innovation
Novabiom invests in research and development across all areas of the sector: rhizome production, crop establishment, processing, and innovative applications. Novabiom has participated in two H2020 projects funded by the European Union: GRACE (Growing Advanced Industrial Crops on Marginal Lands for Biorefineries) and MAGIC (Marginal Lands for Growing Industrial Crops). Two other projects are currently underway with INRAE: MisTigation (Miscanthus for Climate Change Mitigation), funded by ADEME, and MisEauVert (Ecosystem Services of Miscanthus to Restore Water Quality and Soil Fertility), funded by ANR.
