Miscanthus is a crop in which farmers invest for more than 20 years. This is why Novabiom is committed to working alongside producers by providing them with Miscanthus giganteus rhizomes and a range of services to optimize and secure the establishment of crops:

High quality rhizomes
Produced in our nurseries in France, Miscanthus giganteus rhizomes are harvested at the end of winter, carefully sorted and stored at controlled hygrometry and temperature until planting.
With a cumulative production of more than 150 million rhizomes, Novabiom has a unique production capacity. The plants produced are subject to a quality control which includes tests by an independent specialized company.
The rhizomes are packaged in big bags of 5,000 or 10,000 units.

Novabiom is particularly committed to promoting the development of miscanthus projects with added environmental value, for water protection and the fight against soil erosion.
Water protection
Miscanthus cultivation no longer requires systematic chemical inputs after its implantation. It has a buffer role against diffuse pollution along watercourses and creates dilution zones in water catchment areas.
Erosion control
Miscanthus is a perennial plant with a permanent cover and a dense root network. It prevents gullying and effectively fights against erosion.
